I got more blue in my hair today. Ombre color is fun. Puerto Rico tomorrow with Nicole and Patricia or as Chucky would say "my lesbian aunts" So thrilled. Apparently we're in for a "big thaw" here in Boston starting Monday with several days in the 40's. So that's cool not cold.

T Swift has been staying with my parents for the past week, not having her around is boring. BUT I did have a fun filled weekend

Friday saw Best Coast and WAVVES but really wavves is cool, entertaining, catchy- I get it. Not my thing.
Best Coast was obvi cool, and exactly what I expected. Bethany lost a lot of weight.
STILL nothing compares to BC at the middle east in the fall. Now it's over too many girls are into it, and I'm wondering how much longer I'll think that they are good for. Besides I hate shows at the paradise. Worst venue. It's all downhill from here.

Saturday I finally went to the Donkey Show at Oberon. It was so much fun and very cool to see, I've been to Oberon plenty of times for shows like "Cabaret" and "Mortified" but this place gets about 100x cooler for the donkey show. So much glitter, '70's hits, free drinks (for me), and all around fun crowd. Can't believe it took me so long to get out there for it. Definitely will be back.


I paid way too much money on a ticket to Bright Eyes, but I think I'm okay with it. The People's key is genius, and I know the show will be incredible. March 10th where you at?!

Also excited for Middlebrother. I'm going to be broke from shows, oh well, nothing new.

Tumblr.com has spawned the worst and best thing ever. While the site is user friendly and enables quick and easy sharing of text and media it is breeding a whole group of people worse than bloggers- yeah I said it, WORSE. Just when people were getting really pissed about bloggers *thinking* that they were entitled to earning reader credibility things get worse. Now any lazy self indulgent teen- or adult can create a "blog" on tumblr.com made up of meaningless shit that they think looks cool/sounds cool/is cool. But the fact of the matter is it's regurgitated and it's taking a toll on any sort of creativity ever existing again in the blog world/ general populations' minds, etc. The fact of the matter is there are people out there feeling accomplished- feeling like they have created some great unit of work that they really had nothing to do with. It's like feeling accomplished for owning a bunch of records. Yeah you own them, you listen, you have them, but you didn't do shit to help record any of them. Now I can't go anywhere on the internet without seeing someone repeating someone else's discovery of a naked skinny girl wearing cool shoes or seeing authors quoted in cool font by people that will never even read or come close to reading their books- but like the snippet sounds cool and will make them look intelligent so I guess why not, why waste time actually putting thought into anything?

And yeah I guess you could say Google sharing is the same thing, but NO it's not. It's just different- trust me. I'm not even going to bother explaining.

Let's just take the quickest route possible with everything we do from now on. It's so easy. Why even think for yourself? Everyone else will just do it for you.
