"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace."
— Milan Kundera'

"We can never know what to want, because, living only one life, we can neither compare it with our previous lives nor perfect it in our lives to come."

"Perhaps the reason we are unable to love is that we yearn to be loved, that is, we demand something (love) from our partner instead of delivering ourselves up to him demand-free and asking for nothing but his company."

"The Greek word for "return" is nostos. Algos means "suffering." So nostalgia is the suffering caused by an unappeased yearning to return."

Yone!

Me and the ladies of Bodega got photographed by Yone tonight after work in the shop.

Pretty fun experience.

Had a lot of fun kissing skateboard decks, laying on the floor, and straddling a bench.

Caitlin wore roller skates and was precious.

We got to take home a couple too.

I love the group shot of us and his girls, they were super nice. I think it's precious.

Yeah Oh And

It's time for a haircut. Going to Shag tomorrow. Brian cuts my hair and I think he's definitely the best in Boston. Haircuts are something I've never been scared to splurge on and I've definitely been around the salon block a couple times. Shag is in South Boston in an old incredibly hip warehouse. Lindsay recommended it and Brian to me and I haven't looked back since.

Basically what I'm going for is a mix of Katie Holmes, Alexa Chung, and Freja Beha.

So if I could get a cohesive mix of those cuts that'd be cool with me, :)

I think I'm due for one it's only been three months. Gross.

Thanks Emma!

Emma posted this vid on my FB.

Once again I love you T Swift.

I have my last class of the semester today. This week I have completed a curriculum unit plan on Macbeth and an assessment plan on Poetry. The unit plan on Macbeth ended up being more like a Senior Thesis. Who knew. It feels pretty good to know that I am finished with 2 of the more difficult aspects of finals before finals week has even begun. 2 more to go! Done by Tuesday! One semester left then farewell Massachusetts and farewell New England. It's time for a change. I'm pretty sure I'd hate myself if I never allowed myself to live somewhere outside of the region I grew up in. I'd rather move somewhere, hate it, and come back. Then at least I won't grow old wondering what else I would or could have stumbled upon in life. Staying put is limiting.
