Took these a couple weeks ago:




F21 Overalls. 27.80. I bought some overalls last Fall while at the Chicopee, MA Savers with JC. The short part of them is ironically long and a little baggy. The F21 ones look a little too long and will most likely be a little too tight. We shall see...


And since floral print fabric has taken over the world, I suppose I should get my hands on this backpack from Topshop.


The broke unemployed grad in me really hopes that F21 copies this one. $70 is a little too steep for me right now. Life is hard.

I won't join the masses in even trying to write a cohesive review of the new Black Keys or Band of Horses album. I haven't listened to the new Black Keys one yet actually. It's possible I never will. I remember liking them in high school though. "Infinite Arms" by Band of Horses is pretty relaxing to listen to. I listened to it while sewing the other night. Nothing really jumped out at me, but it's definitely listenable. It's a good substitute for white noise. I don't really mean that in a mean way. I just mean it's whatever in the best way possible.



I'm on a prowl for a bike right now. It's been months since I've relied on the train to get everywhere. I'm not trying to get all bike punk, I'd simply enjoy getting places faster. I never knew how expensive they really were. No wonder ZG snagged from other people all the time.

Haircut today. Shop, shop, shop. Booking some flights. Applying for jobs. Must be nice?

The new Gaslight Anthem Album entitled "American Slang" drops June fifth. It's incredible. Within the first round of listening I decided to hate it. Halfway through the second round I realized how incredible it really was. "Bring It On" is my favorite song.
I like this album because it picks right up where "The '59 Sound" left off. The meter stays consistent. They don't try to pull any obscure shit. They simply stick to their style. I've listened to the album about 12 times through total so far. It usually throws an awkward but good spring into my step. If you're into anything alt I suggest you check it out.

For the first time ever I made it through a Mothers day without ruining it for everyone!! Victory. Like one year I got alcohol poisoning and ralphed all over my mom. I was 16 so you can imagine what a big deal that was!
I made her this card:

And then I made her a special brownie. It looks like a two but I swear I drew a one! She's modest so it's whatever.




I feel like writing nothing right now. I've been working on my "book" for a few hours so I've got nothing left!

Oh maturity's a wrapped-up package deal or so it seems. And ditching teenage fantasy means ditching all your dreams. All your friends and peers and family solemnly tell you you will have to grow up. Be and adult. Yeah be bored and unfulfilled. But no one's yet explained to me exactly what's so great about slaving 50 years away on something that you hate. About meekly shuffling down the path of mediocrity. Well if that's your road then take it but it's not the road for me.

And if all you ever do with your life is photosynthesize, then you'll deserve every hour of your sleepless nights that you waste wondering when you're going to die.

Growing Up Isn't Moving On

WATCH THIS. One of the best music videos made in a while. Psyched that it's from a band I love. Polar Bear club is great. Saw them twice on two of the FyS/TUI tour shows. Seeing them at skatefest friday.



I love to look back and cringe on past perceptions. Maturing is a comical experience almost as funny as never maturing at all.
I am so much better than I used to be.
