KEEP ON LIVING

Oh boy so when I was 16 at lunch one day my best friend Jackie Cooper was like "Hey Carrie I'm getting tattooed today want to come with me?" and I was like "Yeah can I get one too?" and she was like "I don't know probably!"

Oh to be sixteen again, of course we were young and angry at nothing. Probably angry that John Nolan left Taking Back Sunday or that Chris Carrabba turned Dashboard Confessional from a solo acoustic act into a band. It could have really been anything but dammit we wanted to get INKED.

Of course there were sincere reasons behind our tattoos and my storytelling is more for light hearted entertainment than anything...- In other words Plz don't h8 me JC.

SO afterschool I tell my dad I won't be home till later and luckily my mom was away on vacation with some friends.
COURSE WAS CLEAR. I used my savings from working at Chuck E Cheese to pay for it. I remember calling my sister and telling her I was getting one...she was in class when she received the message...she left class to call me to tell me that I better be kidding... in response I laughed and said "Ha, don't worry I'm not going to do it jk jk."

But I did and we did. And at the end of the day we could only be us... so now 5 years later look who fucking appears on my television screen, but AMY. On A & E's show called "Tattoo Highway" oh boy. From the few minutes I watched its basically about a tattoo shop on wheels that travels around the country to different clients. Oh that's cool.





Let's just say that I kept my tattoo by Amy hidden for 3 months until one day my shirt lifted up and my mom saw her worst nightmare...ink. Or as she likes to call it "graffiti." She went on a tirade to find the person who did this to me and seek revenge. Of course she failed and what happened, happened.

So thanks Amy nice to see that you've been crying on TV and that your lines still suck. Thanks for tattooing me and every other kid in the springfield area ages 15-17! I mean it's cool and all, but if anything it's mostly just funny.

It's Alright, It's Okay!

Well not too long on Bakerella I saw some homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches. So when I bought cookie mix yesterday I felt the need to make at least one treat....out of treats.





Threw the cookies and ice cream in the freezer to keep em cool

Then added some color!


Now honestly this was way too intense to consume. I felt like ralphing after one bite. I'm glad I only made one. It's truly a diabetic's dream. Between my mom and I this was left for the trash can.



Just downloaded Ashley Tisdale's latest album. She was on "It's On With Alexa Chung" yesterday. She's precious although I didn't think she really would have any hits. The albums fun. Obviously I hated her character in High School Musical, but she's much better as a brunette. It's always nice to stumble upon a simple pop album these days, things have been getting a little too electro, but this album keeps it safe and that's somewhat refreshing. My favorite songs on the album "Guilty Pleasure" are "Hot Mess," "How Do You Love Someone," "Erase and Rewind," "Delete You," " Switch" and this song...."It's Alright, It's Okay" here's the vid for it.

Michelle Branch's new single...been waiting forever for her return!


Her voice sounds matured but refreshingly similar to the times of "The Spirit Room." I can't wait for the rest of this album to drop...Of course I'm not so sure and can't seem to find the exact date all I find is "coming soon."


Forgot about when Jesse Lacey covered "Web in Front" by Archers of Loaf. I saw this at the Middle East probably about a year ago.

Monster Hospital

SO quite unexpectedly I had to get my appendix out last Wednesday. Last Tuesday I woke up on my own (no alarm) at 7 AM and was feeling great. Went to Athol to look at dogs with Jackie. She bought this lovely girl: NALA.

So did that went home felt really tired took a nap, which is something I don't do much at all! Then ate some pizza then started ralphing it up. My stomach felt like it was tied in a knot that progressively got tighter and tighter. So I end up in tears on the floor and my mom brings me to Wing Medical in Palmer, MA. Wing is a small hospital, but they just added on a new addition. So that's cool. So there I am ralphing in the emergency room's bathroom waiting to be seen. Everyone else in that room screamed hick TRUTH HURTS SORRY WORLD. But seriously the 8 people in there were all watching Michael Jackson news and talking it up. And then theres me now in a chair sprawled up in a ball. FInally my name is called. I get sent to a bed and The doctor sees me, says I need a cat scan but on no first here's some morphine and oh by the way you need to 2 huge glasses of dye so that we can read your cat scan. So i get handed to venti sized sbux cups filled with gross sugary liquid and I'm instructed to drink them asap. So I get a glass down. WOAHHH HALF WAY THERE! and get an 1/8th of the second one down....


TIME OUT

You must be aware that I was in a room with 2 beds divided by a curtain (very private). This couple was quite the duo. The woman complained about her leg constantly hurting her, but then started complaining about her diabetes, and then said her arm hurt. And her lovely companion who I spied earlier in the waiting room was in a mechanical jumpsuit starts to finally chime in saying he won't let her move around or do anything when she's in pain. I thought this woman was pregnant or something. But oh no, just an idiot. So as she's complaining to the nurse and her companion freak is chiming in she all of a sudden starts talking about the weather, and flowers and sorry but I lost track of the conversation due to immense pain. But somehow I hear the guy say I'm A PYROTECH i do fireworks. We go everywhere. Mind you this is MY NURSE they are talking to and I am DYING and they are talking about fireworks. And finally this woman is told that she just needs to take it easy, and she starts to complain more, and then finally this woman gets what she came for...DRUGS.


So back to me as I'm listening to this nonsense I'm really getting angry. You're not crying you're talking about nonsense get the hell out. But my body AKA OLD FAITHFUL did the job for me. That sugary liquid I was attempting to conquer decided to jump ship and I ralphed that whole cup plus the 1/8th of the second cup. Luckily I did this on the side of my bed that my mom wasn't on and it conveniently pooled up on the floor and formed a nice little stream to the OTHER SIDE of the curtain and I see Mr. Fireworks jump up to salvage his all black classic reboks.

I really showed them. Eventually they left and some poor girl with poison ivy all over her face took their place. Little did I know of the perils that laid ahead of me.... To be continued.

A MONDAY NIGHT

I MEAN BUSINESS.


I made brownies from scratch tonight using bakers unsweetened chocolate squares.

They were good but really RICH. I could only handle a few bites. I made quite the mess thanks to flour and sugar, the usual suspects.

Lately I've been listening to Lights a lot. I think she's fun. Heres a couple vids of her.

I hit up Forever 21 today with JC. I really love that store. I really love that I got a whole outfit for under 50 bucks.

I haven't been feeling ruffles much but i find a vertical ruffle slightly less dramatic than layered horizontal ruffles. The sandals were such a steal at $12.80 I have had my eyes on a pair at Lord and Taylor just like them priced at $60.00 so it was definitely a good buy. Forever 21 is a great way to keep up with trends and save some money, but let's face it the clothing is cheap and you truly get what you pay for. The good thing is by the time these things have perished they will be out like the Gap Fleece hooded sweatshirt in the year 2000.

TUT TUT

This rain sucks, killing my hair, and spirit. Life is hard. Going to Maine this week, I'm swimming rain or shine, try and stop me.
I will be staying at Ocean Point right outside Boothbay Harbor.


Hopefully we make a stop in Freeport so I can hit up LL Bean. Maybe I will climb the rock wall.

I bought this game today:

Super Mario Bros for NES was my favorite as a kid...okay well Super Mario 3 is number 1, but I'm into anything featuring Mario cause I think every game with him has a pretty neat vibe to it. With the exception of Warioland. I played that game all the time on my gold gameboy pocket, but it was too dark for my liking. So back to this game, I'm currently only in World 3. The parallels between this DS game and the original SMB's game for nes are quite obvious, but there are also some fun new things, like Mario turning into a giant destroying everything- sounds awesome, but use wisely at times this will work against you. I suggest it for the battle in the castle for a quick and easy defeat. One thing that I find really cool is that as some may or may not know is that the DS has two screens and most of the game play is on the top screen, while the bottom touch screen initiates powers and control over navigating from world to world. However when Mario goes down a tube bringing him down to the underworld the game switches to the bottom screen. I find this to be a cute little detail that makes this game that much cooler.

More details to come as I figure things out. I am a little late to this DS party, plz forgive me.

AJ and I went to a wedding last night (it was a blast! We are A+ dancers), I'm listening to ALK 3, had to do this.
