ANYWAYS. This morning I had the pleasure of having a surprise guest speaker in my 8 AM Spanish Class. Needless to say I would have been pissed if I slept through my alarm this morning. It was a close call, but I made it. June Carolyn Erlick, author of "Disappeared"is in Boston and will be speaking at Harvard later this week. Erlick shared her story of being assigned a 20 year old case in Guatemala in which a young female journalist with a political column was taken away and "disappeared." I'm about to go out and buy the book will review when done. Erlicks passion for the tragic happenings of the Impunity project and the generations effected by it resonated and remained genuine for all 60 minutes she spoke to my class. She certainly has a great sales pitch.





Props to my sister blog (Fact) Her Movez on getting her 1 second of internet fame with her shot of the fire this morning at the Mandarin Hotel. This Hotel blocks her view anyways, too bad it didn't go down to the ground bringing back the nice full view of the Charles she once had.
