Dog Problems

And the working marathon begins. Money for school supplies and clothing will be nice though.

One of my life long friends (my col) leaves for arizona tomorrow. Best guy ever. (I have since forgiven him for stealing my razor scooter in 5th grade). Love you Colin and best of luck. See ya christmas.

UPS has kidnapped my laptop.

'But officer I wasn't speeding!" "That I'm aware miss, but god were you drifting."

My guitar is back at my apartment, must get my head back in the game. That plus running plus learning to crochet because knitting got old fast.

I've decided that one of my weather show features will have a "what to sport" snippet. Instructing viewers on what they need to stay comfortable and weatherproofed for the day.

Show airs: september 2nd.

Tomorrow is Dashboard Tuesday. This day was founded seconds before I entered a car full of friends on the corner of Newbury and Gloucester St. We were all beach bound.

It's important to remember a certain group of musicians, no matter how silly, generic, overlooked, overplayed, they seem years after they dominated your discman. What I mean by "certain group" is the groups that you listened to back in the times of youth and unrealistic responsibilities. You throw on a song and it brings you back to drives home from high school, work, shows, parties, the song brings out memories due to association. I can say that Vanessa Carleton's song "White Houses" brings me back to Summer Oh Five driving from a BBQ at my friend Greg's to a show at Cabot St. I can say that Rilo Kiley's song, "Portions for Foxes" has me sitting on the hood of my car in a CVS parking lot in Easthampton Center (soon we would walk to Now Hear Fast art gallery, show, and bmx comp.). Not that this means anything to anyone but myself and the people with me at the time these songs strained out my speakers, but it's nice to have a memorable aid that serves beyond eyes scanning photographs.

Now Dashboard Confessional memories are infinite and it's nice to dedicate one day a week to reminisce of the first time I heard the "So Impossible" EP. I can say that "Age Six Racer" has been played at the end of every summer for the past 6 years of my life. And if you're familiar with the record then you understand.

These guys were precious and their posture was impressive. One day the little ones will fly high, you know this.

I went to Maine with my parents. Lots of hiking and whatnot. Mohegan Island was gorgeous as usual.

Movies of the Summer:

I've seen Batman, DARK NIGHT 3 times. I REFUSE TO SEE THIS MOVIE AGAIN UNTIL THE YEAR 2015. The first time I enjoyed. The next one painful. The final time I slept.

Pineapple Express: It doesn't take much to make me laugh. I think Dane Cook is funny. So you would think I'd enjoy this movie due to misleading trailers. I hated it. In fact I had to physically get out of my chair and walk out of the theatre for a good 5 minutes to relieve myself from anxieties.

Stepbrothers: I have seen this movie twice and have loved it both times. The trailer does not do this movie justice.

I have been lacking with photos and updates due to my computer being somewhere in Illinois hopefully being fixed or replaced by a new one. We shall see. So hold on tight, schools creeping around the corner. I'll be wasting time "being studious" in the library in no time!

Too much Pizza!

Charles Henry and I went on a Pizza tour of the city yesterday.
Photobucket
I walked from my apartment, paid for a coffee at sbux and met up with him and Jack DanielsJACK in my old neighborhood. Chuck has said plenty about his pizza opinions- these are mine...

First Stop: Ernesto's Pizza. For the past year I have resided in Boston's North End AKA "Little Italy." I've probably hit this place up at least 2 times a week on average. Usually I get a slice (2 massive slices) of cheese to go if I'm solo and heat it up in my toaster oven. If I'm dining with companions I try to avoid the table behind the soft drink station- It's a sure thing you'll be in someone's way. If you're going to venture outside the plain cheese world and you are unfamiliar with the different combinations Ernesto's has to offer I would not recommend going on a sunny day. The glare of the sun against the pizza display's window kills one's ability to distinguish a pepperoni pizza from a buffalo chicken pizza. ERNESTO'SAnyways my slice of choice w/ toppings is the "chicken pepperoni and ricotta." It's extreme, but if you eat meat and don't mind putting your health on the line for an amazing slice I highly recommend it. There's about 3 regular workers I encounter at Ernesto's. One being an old man that lounges behind the counter drinking bud light. One's a very quiet mid 20's guy. And lastly there's my workaholic buddy who is there 90% of the time making it happen, if Super Mario ever came to life he'd look like this guy.
Bring cash here. They accept cards, but a couple of my friends got duplicate charges so use the Bank of America ATM 2 stores down and save yourself the hassle.

Haymarket: Haymarket2Chuck brought me here one day around the time of the Sox 07 playoffs before we hustled credit cards. A decent slice. Haymarket in general gives me bad vibes so I usually shy away from the area at all costs. Good slice though. I won't bore anyone with talk about the sugary sauce or cheap price. You know this.

moving on. 2 free iced coffees down the road...

Bostone: Worst slice of the day. The crust is too thin and crispy for my liking, the sauce and cheese lacked harmony. Maybe it was the fact that I already had 3 slices in my stomach, or maybe Bostone's slice of cheese really just is terrible. Don't get me wrong I'll enjoy a slice of Sicilian cheese from here any day, I'm just not feeling the average slice. Bostone2
Sit outside here- you might get dripped on. True story.

We took a break for new gear, lurked people waiting in line for the Grand Opening at the Apple Store, and then made the trek to...

Chacho's: A first time for me. Best slice of the day. I couldn't finish but as I told Chuck "There's a reason why the women's T in golf is closer than the Men's" I'll probably make a summer habit of strolling down to this place on nice days. Chuck @ Chachos

Greetings from

Gloucester Street. Moving was a success!
Photobucket

A success it was-for the most part that is. The box spring I bought last year refused to fit up our stairs- in fact it even fought back against the wall and made a lovely hole. We'll get that fixed. Currently I have a mattress on an unstable bed frame. Lots of boxes with my belongings, my dresser and this precious lamp I bought: Photobucket Hopefully it will be presentable for guests sometime soon.

Currently I'm unemployed, but I'm trying to get that fixed. Summer activities are alive and happening. Tennis, running, cruising Newbury Street (that counts!), and being way too relaxed. Cliff jumping needs to happen very soon.

And now I must add that over the course of the past three hours my roommate Keara and I have moved her Full Size IKEA bed into my room, moved her boyfriends queen sized bed into her room and set them both up. One might think, "How hard could it be?" IKEA bed's are not so friendly once being disassembled and assembled on multiple moves- especially when you don't use your brain and try to assemble it upside down. We figured it out eventually. GREAT SUCCESS!

I was hoping that moving to this spot would bring me into a more social environment. This proved to be true when I set out on my journey to Shaws for food and a coinstar adventure. Moving makes you find lots of change, I made a makeshift piggy-bank out of two RX CD stack covers. So with a jingle in my step and a weight on my shoulder I strolled. And I walked about 3 sidewalk squares till I sighted Charles Henry and Hudon. Most of the time I would think seeing a familiar face on the street was a mirage or a look-a-like, but I know Chucke and he is a man of habitual strolls through the city. We went to El Pelon and discussed healthy and unhealthy eating, so hey why not? HMM. Today I have consumed 3 SBUX beverages, one bagel, one chicken quesadilla, and a bowl of Special K cereal. Which side are you on?

So let's just be happy that I have a bed to sleep in at night, Nike Running Club meets tomorrow (A first visit for me),My fantasy baseball team still dominates, My parents new favorite slogan is "GET A JOB!" LOL, and Brendan shaved. AND my winnings from coinstar came out to be $26 and some extra change.

Welcome to summer vacation BLOG. Where nothing is sincere. and Gil Sayfan has legit bands.

The weather today was beautiful. The Streets were crowded. Sun dresses, sandals, and los gafas de sol were making their yearly debut.

Once school is over more text will be present in posts, for now I'm taking the easy way out. Something is better than nothing.
